In 2025 I launched Astrantia Garden Care, a female-led company based in Ampthill, Bedfordshire. I now look after many gardens locally and have redesigned the planting in many more. I hold both the [RHS Level 3](https://www.rhs.org.uk/education-learning/qualifications-and-training/rhs-qualifications/level-three)Certificate in the Principles of Plant Growth, Garden Planning and Applied Propagation, and RHS Level 3 Practical Horticulture, passed with distinction. I also have a Gateway Level 1 Garden Design qualification. I’ve been helping people maintain and create gardens they love since 2002, which was when I first started working as a gardener. But I truly understand how life can get in the way of keeping on top of your garden, because since then I’ve been a busy mum with a full-time corporate career; The time and energy needed to focus on my own garden, let alone anyone else’s, was often sorely lacking. In 2024 life presented a much-needed opportunity to get-off the corporate hamster wheel and refocus on horticulture full time.  So I refreshed my qualifications and had the pleasure of working on many exciting [garden projects](https://www.astrantia-garden-care.co.uk/projects?hsLang=en) and collaborations, alongside volunteering regularly in the gardens at English Heritage’s Wrest Park. Together these experiences gave me the confidence to set up my own business and Astrantia Garden Care continues to grow. My own garden brings me such joy. I hope I can help you feel the same way about yours. Please do get in touch for a chat. ###### Yours Emma Wade ## Ready to improve your garden?
